Stubborn fat. Boy, do we hate it. For many of us, it seems like no matter what we do, we just can’t seem to get rid of it. I thought of her when I read the story.The story tells the tale of a woman who is trying to lose weight in order to fit into a dress for a wedding. Her decision to lessen her food intake helped her to pull it off just in time. After shedding the appropriate amount of weight, she was able to fit into the dress – although not quite like what she had hoped for.The woman’s own battle with stubborn fat was being lost because she hadn’t been consuming enough calories during her crash diet. As the website explains, your body may choose to burn your muscle tissue if its deprived of certain sugars and fats to burn. The woman, as the story reveals, was depriving her of necessary starches and fats.
Following the wedding, when the woman went back to her old eating habits, she didn’t have much muscle left to help burn all of those new calories. So her body began storing the calories from fat and sugar in the form of fat. The moral of the story, of course, is not to starve yourself in an effort to shed pounds.
When working out, it’s important to incorporate muscle building exercises into your routine.
