In the video, Dr. Anna Guanche, who is a Dermatologic Surgeon, performs a BOTOX injection on a patient named Kristin. Firstly, she asks her patient to frown so that it can be demonstrated how significant the frown lines are between the eyebrows. Dr. Guanche explains which muscles in the face actually cause those frown lines as well. She notes that a “series of injections” is necessary so that each muscle causing the frown lines is relaxed.
When Dr. Guanche begins performing the BOTOX injections, she asks Kristin how bad the pain is. “Not bad at all,” is the response. Overall, the entire procedure is shown to be both a quick and pain free one. The doctor also reveals that within three to seven days, significant results will be seen. The before and after shots of Kristin show a remarkable change in the frown lines on her forehead.
As you can imagine, the after shots show no wrinkles in between her eyebrows. In addition, it is noticeable that there are no marks or scarring of any kind in the after shots. Dr. Guanche comments to Kristin that for fifteen minutes after the treatment, it may appear as if she has “bug bites” where the injections took place. However, it is clear that they are quickly healed.
